Well, I woke up in the morning, and it was raining. Typical. Well, despite the rain, I packed up and headed out to meet this guy. Rode for an hour and over a col to meet this guy. Finally got to the patisserie where we to meet - and guess what. He's not there. Perfect. I'll grab a coffee and wait. Still not there. Where ARE you!?
Looks like the French are a lot like me. They don't ride in bad weather. So, I packed up, and headed back to meet Nic, back over the Col. Back to the car. Back to our drive to Castellan. Once we got to Castellan we nicked into an office de tourisme to find some campsites. We found the most beautiful spot in the end. Out in the middle of nowhere, within rock rolling distance to the river. Superb. Very pleased to have this place. Pitched the tent and then jumped on the bikes to head into Castellan.
Castellan is a pretty cool little town. Found a bar where we relaxed and watched the Tour. Towards the end, people started to pack in and in the end, it was the happeningest place in town. it was great. Stocked up on beer and coffee and then headed off back to our campsite for bed. Ready for the gorges tomorrow. Can't wait.
